Exim Bank Tanzania recently finalized the acquisition of Canara Bank Tanzania Limited’s assets and liabilities in February 2025, marking its third acquisition in six years. This acquisition follows previous deals, including a bank in Uganda in 2016, UBL Bank Tanzania in 2019, and FNB Bank Tanzania in 2022. The bank’s net loan book stands at TZS 1.8 trillion, and its deposit base is TZS 2.5 trillion as of June 2025.

Responsibilities:

• Building relationships with a portfolio of customers
• Growth of CASAFD and ASSET
• Meet fee income goal
• Provide personalized banking service
• Identify cross-selling opportunities
• Develop and maintain sales/queries database
• Work with branch managers
• Use referrals to open new client accounts
• Understand all products/services offered by EXIM
• Prepare Position reports for the Branch Manager

Qualifications:

• University degree in Business Administration or Economics
• Minimum of two years’ relevant working experience
• Computer literacy and knowledge of new evolving technology systems
• Ability to assess customer needs
• Self-confident, ambitious, and high energy level
• Experience in structured trade finance, syndication, and project financing
• Proven sales experience in a client relationship role within retail banking
