Ithuba, which means “opportunity” in Zulu, refers to the official operator of the national lottery in both South Africa and Tanzania. The lottery aims to generate funds for good causes and create wealth for players. Ithuba Tanzania is the Licensed Operator of the Tanzania National Lottery.

Ithuba Tanzania is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Legal and Compliance Officer to support our Legal Department in addressing the company’s legal and compliance needs. This role involves providing legal advice to the business, conducting legal research, offering administrative legal assistance, and supporting the company in maintaining compliance and mitigating legal risks.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Law such as BA Law, BCom Law & LLB from a reputable university.
• Diploma in legal practice from Law Development Centre
• A minimum of 3 years’ post-article experience either practicing law or in the business environment/in-house legal counsel.
• Experience drafting, review, negotiation of domestic and cross-border agreements, corporate and commercial transactions.
• A minimum of 3 years conducting due diligence and/or Vetting and Accreditation of Suppliers and/or contractors.
