Stefano Moshi Memorial University College (SMMUCo) is a private, Christ-centered institution located in Moshi, Tanzania. A constituent college of Tumaini University Makumira, SMMUCo was founded in 2007 and is owned by the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tanzania, Northern Diocese. SMMUCo inherited the campus and infrastructure of the Masoka Management Training Institute, which was founded by the ELCT Northern Diocese in 1991. The training institute previously offered certificate, diploma, and advanced diploma programs for the church and the nation. The university college is named in honor of Stefano Moshi, a Tanzanian educator and advocate for higher learning.

As part of the preparations, the College wishes to recruit competent, dynamic, and experienced lecturers and assistant lecturers to teach in the following programs:

Bachelor of Science in Machine Learning & Predictive Analytics (4 posts)
Bachelor of Science in Digital Forensics & Cyber Investigations (5 posts)
Bachelor of Science in Artificial Intelligence & Intelligent Systems (5 posts)
Bachelor of Arts in Community Development (3 posts)
Bachelor of Arts with Education [History, Economics, and Geography] (4 posts)
Bachelor of Science with Education [Mathematics and Computer Science] (5 posts)

General Qualifications

• Applicants must be Tanzanian, male or female, of integrity and outstanding academic experience and capability.

Specific qualifications include:

• Lecturers: Holders of PhD and GPA of 3.5 or above at Bachelor’s Degree and 4.0 or above at Master’s Degree majoring in any of the above specialties.
• Assistant Lecturers: Holders of Master’s Degree in any of the above specialties with GPA of 3.5 or above at Bachelor’s Degree and 4.0 or above at Master’s Degree.

Duties

Successful candidates will be responsible for the following:

• Teach undergraduate students.
• Supervise and mentor undergraduate students.
• Participate in research, consultancies, and dissemination of research findings.
• Engage in functional outreach works.
• Provide leadership role to the university college.
