Rungwe District Council is a local government authority in the Rungwe District of Tanzania’s Mbeya Region. Its headquarters are in the town of Tukuyu. The council was formerly the sole governing body for the Rungwe area until 2012, when a portion of its jurisdiction was split off to create the Busokelo District Council.

• Key Duties:
  • Inspect vehicles before and after trips to ensure safety.
  • Transport staff to various work locations.
  • Perform minor vehicle maintenance.
  • Maintain a log book for all trips.
  • Collect and distribute various documents.
  • Clean the vehicle.
  • Perform any other duties as directed by the supervisor.
• Qualifications:
  • A Form IV (O-Level) certificate.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license of class ‘C’ or ‘E’.
  • At least one year of experience driving without causing accidents.
  • Must have completed a basic driving course from VETA or another government-recognized institution.
