The Pan African Postal Union (PAPU) is a specialized agency of the African Union (AU) that works to promote and coordinate the development of postal services across Africa. Established in Arusha, Tanzania, on January 18, 1980, it serves as the key coordinating body for postal activities on the continent. PAPU’s primary role is to drive the growth and modernization of Africa’s postal sector. This includes encouraging the adoption of new technologies such as blockchain for secure transactions, and drones and electric vehicles for efficient delivery.
The United Republic of Tanzania, through the Tanzania Communications Regulatory Authority (TCRA), announces a vacancy for the position of Assistant Secretary General at the Pan African Postal Union (PAPU), headquartered in Arusha, Tanzania. TCRA is ISO 9001:2015 certified and is facilitating this opportunity on behalf of the United Republic of Tanzania, a member of PAPU.
