Tanzania National Roads Agency (TANROADS) is an Executive Agency under the Ministry of Works, Transport and Communications, responsible for the maintenance and development of the trunk and regional road network on Mainland Tanzania. It operates weighbridges, enforces axle load control, and manages toll roads where feasible. It also works with development partners and identifies alternative financing models, such as public-private partnerships, to meet infrastructure demands.
